With pain and/or stiffness in your knees, the benefits of exercising specifically for your injured joint(s) are priceless. Some of the exercises I use to reduce knee pain include:
- Increasing flexibility and range of motion with stretching and warm-up exercises. Working out without warming up increases your chances of injury, so this step is vital.
- Building supportive muscle mass with basic strength training exercises. This involves not just the muscles in and around the knee, but in your entire leg.
- Balance exercises to reduce chance of injury. (See my Balance Page for more details.)
- Gentle manual therapy where I can help you exercise safely and assess your current knee strength to make better physical therapy programs that meet your personal needs.
